Song ID requested

I heard this piped in in an Applebee's and thought "Hey, this sounded OK." The only lyrics I could make out, though, were "Tell me what you need 'cause I need to know" and some variation on that with the words "baby girl."

It was a male vocalist, possibly a group. Since it was piped in, I have no idea on the time frame, but I'd guess past 15 years if that helps.

This is the second time (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=286763) in the past month that I've asked for songs that I heard piped in (the earlier one being in an Outback), and they've both turned out to be by Marc Anthony.
