Oreo is finally home! :D
Oreo is my black and white cat who's been missing for a month. He disappeared while my husband and I were out of town for the Memorial weekend and we just found him last night!
He got out when our apartment complex decided to paint our second story balcony (over a holiday weekend  ) by ripping down the screens and climbing over the rail. Oreo loved to watch the birds from our balcony and must have found the possiblity of catching one too tempting. We were in Georgia at the time visiting my father-in-law. Imagine coming home and finding out your little boy has disappeared.
Fast forward past a month's worth of heartache and hard work trying to find him to Sunday night. We were coming back from the mall and I heard the phone ring as I opened the front door. The lady on the other end said that she'd seen a cat matching his description at the nearby Wal-Mart (about 3 miles away)She'd caught him in the garden center and gave him to the manager. We frantically called Wal-Mart and they said, "Oh, he's still here. Would you like to come see him?"
We ran to the car, sped to Wal-Mart and lo and behold it was our Oreo. God, I cried my eyes out that night from the sheer joy of simply having him back. The best part is that the vet gave him a clean bill of health. He's none the worse for wear for his little "adventure".
We are so damn happy to have him back!
