Did you like All Your Base Are Belong to Us? Did you laugh at Bananaphone? Do you find surreal flash videos incredibly hilarious?

I do! And I understand others around here appreciate them as well, so I thought I'd spread the joy of this little gem:

Totally safe for work and consumption by all ages!

Well, I know... but I have this curiosity problem you see. I'm the type who looks in the bathroom cabinets at other peoples parties.

Gets me into more trouble than you'd imagine, really. :)

That kid reminds me of the aliens from Seseme Street, the ones that say YupYupYupYup all of the time. Frightening.

That's not a kid actually :) I know the guy who made it and he's in his late 20s if I remember correctly.

I remember studying about the history of computing back when I was a college student. I remember seeing pictures of all the geek dudes standing around the ENIAC, pioneers like Grace Hopper, and the like. Never in a million years could they have thought that their efforts would eventually lead to this.

Remember, kids, webcams and alcohol don't mix.

Oh I firmly disagree, sir. I've gotten many a fine striptease out of that combination!

... should I be admitting that?

A gentleman does not kiss and tell, yes? Besides, I may want to run for public office and those pictures of me should never resurface.

Obviously not. I'd recommend you some places but this is a family-friendly site!

I saw this a couple of days ago, minus the still pictures plastered in at odd intervals. Plus, it had an option for English subtitles for the original Romanian(?, I believe it was.)

I don't remember where I saw it. It never occurs to me to post these damned things. This guy may turn out to be the next Star Wars Kid.

They're offering a flatscreen TV this year!!!

Do de do...

Drag King Bar
well I was bored with the lesbian scene
I told myself I gotta find another thing
so I strapped on my boots
and I walked down the street
and I rolled right in to the local d.k.b.
(drag king bar, that is)

when I walked in at quarter to eight
well I thought that I might be straight
at the drag kind bar last night
it's unlike me to look at boys
when the girls are packing toys
I can dig that scene all right

then across the bar
he played the air guitar
and mouthed those words real sexy
it was then that I surely knew
that this one would be a two
if I played my cards just right

well I was drunk and I was bored
and he was cute so I was lured
at the drag king bar last night
where all the boys are really girls
and the fags whip out their pearls
at the drag king bar last night

then at a quarter to ten
he scoped me again
and drank his beer so sexy
it was then that I surely knew
that this one would be a two
by the end of the night tonight

then he used the line that works everytime
he said hey is this seat taken?
I said no he said let's go
I said where I don't care
I'm a scorpio
take me home right now

then at a quarter to twelve
as I began to delve
into that drag king last night
well my thoughts were so strange
boy my luck sure had changed
I was queen to the king last night

That was...interesting. After seeing this, though, I am convinced that making surreal flash videos is some kind of art form. A high art form.

I recall telling a classmate in Graphic Design class that fifty years from now, our current glut of weird Flash movies will be recognized as a great artistic revolution, known as the "What The Fuck?" Movement.

And here (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/maiyahi.php) is an excessively cute animated flash video using the song.

That's one heck of a good song. No clue whatsoever what it's about by I want it.

I need it.

Precious.......

Seems it's not only incomprehensible, but addictive. Anyone know what it's called, and who it's by? I'm tempted to see if I can find it for sale as a CD single on Amazon or something.

Okay, a moment's googling turns up that it's actually called maiyahi, and that's not just a made-up word (which I'd originally assumed, what with the 'hoo' and 'haha' bits in the chorus). No word on who sings it though.

So sad. :( Can anyone shed further light?

Oh, for a post-removal tool! I have the answers I sought.

For those in love with this song, here's a music clip (http://www.musiqueradio.com/videos/vids/ozone-dragostea.htm) - for the record, the song is called:

Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone.

and there's a page right here (http://www.catteacorner.com/dragosteadintei.htm) translating the lyrics from Romanian. :)

If you're interested, there are several mixes of the song on the iTunes Music Store. Just do a search for "Dragostea." (I'd provide a direct link, but the store is being uncooperative this morning.)

I actually bought that song on iTunes a couple of weeks ago. I love it!

Of course, I hear the chorus (with dance motions) as

Mario Three (Wave three fingers through the air)
Mario Two (Wave two fingers through the air)
Mario Cart (Make driving motions)
Mario PARTY! (Hands at full extension, wave them like you just don't care)

The oddest part is that the movie changes. The latest version has Karen Carpenter-previous versions have Richard Nixon. I know I haven't had that much blackberry brandy. :D

Am I the only one who thinks he vaguely looks like Steven Page (http://www.nowtoronto.com/issues/2002-02-07/music_feature3-1.jpg) of BnL? (http://www.bnlmusic.com/) Especially the expressions. Okay, on second look, Steven after a few Twinkies.
