What are the pros or cons to using epsom salt in a sitz bath? I've looked on the web, but there isn't much out there on this specific topic.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was told by my OB to use Epsom Salts in a sitz bath (actually just a regular shallow bath) after I had my first baby. It was to help my episiotomy heal.

The Epsom Salt Industry Council (http://www.epsomsaltcouncil.org/) says yes.
