Heh heh.
Speaking in broken English, the mysterious man first told the decidedly pro-American crowd - it was a rodeo, of all things, in Salem, of all places - that he supported the war on terrorism.
"I hope you kill every man, woman and child in Iraq, down to the lizards," he said, according to Brett Sharp of Star Country WSLC, who was also on stage that night as a media sponsor of the rodeo.
An uneasy murmur ran through the crowd.
"And may George W. Bush drink the blood of every man, woman and child in Iraq," he continued, according to Robynn Jaymes, who co-hosts a morning radio show with Sharp and was also among the stunned observers.
I can't wait to see this episode.

Borat is my hero :
Here in America you have to date a girl. You cannot trade her for 30 gallons of industrial insecticide

I'm left trying to figure out the humor. A comedian playing a character says some horrible things to a crowd who then get mad. Huh? Is it suppose to be clever irony to pro-Bush supporters? Just nasty Sarcasm?

Sounds like Tom Green. Host is an ass to people, people get upset, supposed comedy ensues.

Actually, most people haven't gotten angry. He says progressively outrageous stuff to see how they react. The reactions vary.

supposed comedy ensues Nothing supposed about it. Comedy ensues. You may not like it or find any worth in it but that doesn't mean it's not funny. It's just not your type of funny.
Ali G/Borat/whatever is not making political points. He is in the US coz he can't do his shit anymore in the UK as he's too well known. He will rip the piss out of anyone. Americans who are not use to his humour may see him as anti-something but he's just making jokes at the expense of whomever is standing in front of him.
He has gone after all types of celebs and politicians in the UK from both sides of the political divide.

The character is pretty funny, at least in my opinion.
One of his classic sketches was when he got up on stage to sing in a bar and got the crowd to join him in the refrain, "Throw the jew down the well/So my country can be free/Grab him by his little horns/We will have a big par-tee".
It was a funny song, and it was funny that the character was so convincing that he got people to sing along with something so offensive.
He feigns innocence and sincerity in such a that people will tell him things that they otherwise wouldn't, like when he got the shooting range owner to say that shooting a gun makes you feel like a "BEEG MAN" and that it's fun to shoot guns and then go to nudey bars.
He was trying to pull that at this rodeo, but it sounds like it didn't go over as well. They weren't cheering "yeee haw" or anything to him.

Ok, that sort of make sense. Still not my brand of funny, but I was seriously just confused over what the comedic angle was suppose to be.
