Looks like there was an upgrade to vBulletin 3.0.7, and the default vBulletin 3.0 buttons are now being used. Doesn't look pretty to me.

Yup, I see it also. The smileys have been changed into more cartoony versions of their former selves, the 'New Thread' button has been changed, the icon to show whether a user is online or not is a green LED. The icons showing whether a forum/thread has a reply or not have been changed also. I'm against it, personally, the new 'eyes rolling' smiley just doesn't have the sardonic impact of the previous one.

Oddly, I noticed some of these changes, then went to another thread and saw the old version (specifically, the doohicky that tells you whether someone is online, and some smilies.) Maybe they're not quite finished yet?

I haven't seen anything so far. On my post page, all the smilies look the same.

only 2 of my smilies have been changed. :D and :eek:

Hmmm...that's odd. Six of mine have changed, and :D isn't one of them.

Some are good:
:cool: is still fine.
:eek: conveys horror nicely.
;) still looks...well, winky.
:p is improved -- actually looks like a tongue sticking out.

Some are not-so-good:
:rolleyes: is horrible. The whole sarcastic look is ruined by the half-smile. It's more of a "daydreaming" look now.
:o was not helped. "Embarrassed" went from a "I'm soooo sleepy" look to a "I'm soooo stoned" look.

Aaaand, on preview, it looks like it's not an issue anymore. Time for a classic: :smack:

It's kinda weird.

When I posted that, Kythereia had nothing under her name, then it said "Member" when the post went thru. I had nothing under my name, but had "Member" after the post went thru. Now neither of us has anything.

Harimad-sol had "Member" under her name before I wrote this, I'll see what it says after I hit submit.

Seems like a cookie issue of some sort.

I liked the new smilies initially, but now I'm having a colors-overdose. I like :D, :eek:, and :p. For the rest, I prefer the old ones.

No. Your user title was supposed to say "Member," but Jerry never got around to fixing the code. He's supposed to do so by the time you read this. Regardless of the user title, you're eligible for the $9.95 rate.

Many of the icons look completely different as of this morning!No, as others have mentioned in some of the numerous threads on this subject, the old images (smilies, icons, etc.) are stored in your browser cache, and until the cache is cleared out or refreshed, the old icons keep appearing.

WHAAAAHTTT happened!

Everything looks like it's infected with XP! (I've had Safari running nonstop for weeks until tonight and haven't seen what all the hoopla is about).
I've seen the missing "Charter Member" and such, but that was all until I restarted my laptop to do Target Disk mode and now it's like the "Mirror, Mirror" episode of Star Trek. ::checks to see if he has an Agonizer suddenly attached to him::
This is going to take a little getting used to.
