FM reception inside a bldg.

I understand the basic problems inherent in receiving an FM radio signal at all, but large buildings, like where I work, present extra barriers. Most stations do come through somewhat, but are weak and staticky.
So, is there a reasonable way to listen to my favorite stations at work? The best solution, an outside antenna, is out of the question. I've heard that higher quality receivers (Grundig, et al) have better antennas, but that's a lot of money to risk on a maybe. A radio with a seperate antenna would also be a possibility, but a dipole made of twinlead as comes with some radios would be kinda awkward.
Suggestions, please. I miss my tunes.

IIRC they used to advertise a antenna that you plugged into an outlet and supposivly made the entire circuit that you were connected to an antenna. Never had a need to try one and haven't seen one advertised in years. Never got the X-ray glasses either. :wally

An average receiver should perform well with a Terk antenna (http://www.terk.com/products.html). Good stuff for bad locations.

Are you near a window? If so, buy one of these (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F008%5F009%5F002%5F000&product%5Fid=278%2D1374). It costs less than a terk, requires no antena-in jack, and you can simply scotch-tape it to to the window, running along the sides so that it does not interfear with your work. I use it, and it's great. (Did I mention I stay up late to listen to shortwave radio?)

Before I switched to CDs, I listened thorugh the radio station's website. Most stations will have their own Real/WM stream, and some apps like iTunes will have a few built-in as well.
