I'm interested in finding out how much the US GDP was in dollars for 2005. I've tried googling but all the results take me to pages which explain the GDP in terms of growth from the previous quarter (which, when I go to check, gives the GDP in terms of growth from the quarter before that and so on, ad infinitum) and I would really appreciate a figure in dollars with an accompanying cite. Thanks.

An interesting read, but I didn't see how it proved your case.
