Hoo boy. JB, try a search for a pit thread with the word "Melin" in the title, and Ed Zotti as poster. That ought to give you an idea.

It really wasn't that juicy... Melin was the mod of MPSIMS about a year ago and she had done something inappropriate (it slips my mind as to what) and was banned more for her obstinance than for the original act, IIRC. She was a fine gal, and I never had any negative dealings with her, but apparently it was a case of a mod and the admin getting into a little tussle. The admin will win every time.

1) Melin was stripped of her moderatorship because she kept arguing in public with another moderator, even after being told not to;
2) A year or so later, Melin got banned because she threatened to sue the SD (Melin is a lawyer).

Disclaimer: I hope I have stated the two main facts as impartially as possible. Please do not read any other intentions into this then to inform JB. I do NOT wish to revive the argument in any way.

yes, people people. don't start this thing up again. i followed coildfire's original advice, and i'm still reading. hell, i had trouble finding the right thread because so many popped up as a query result. i believe the horse was killed about a year ago, and then beat into a fine paste. which paste was then left out in the sun to dry (while still being beaten). the dried powder was then beaten about with another horse, which died shortly thereafter.

in case a big how-do-you-do starts up again, my sepukku (sp?) knife is ready to do what needs to be done.

actually though, i was thinking more along the lines of jisatsu. not really death by dishonor, but more suicide due to banishment from the board, y'know as a result of alienation and the fragmentation of society caused by modernization. sorry.
