Safe place to go during Bird Flu outbreak?

Heaven forbid, a worldwide pandemic of the Avian influenza (bird flu) occurs, where is the safest place to hunker down for a year or two, or however long it takes to pass?


I'm not talking about a ridiculous place in Antarctica, but rather someplace feasible, such as a relatively remote part of New Zealand, with limited contact with humans...

Also, might birds be carriers of the human infectable strain? If so, you'd need a place without birds. Heck, Antarctica might not even work. Time to fire up the Sea Lab.
