I found a Mediterranean Gecko, and am trying to take care of him. He looks just like this one (http://www.uga.edu/srelherp/lizards/hemtur.htm) only a little bit smaller. However, all the info I can find on the Net are about them in the wild... How do I take care of one as a "pet?"

Boy, you're right - it's frustrating trying to find any specific care information for the Mediterranean gecko! However, I suspect that its care needs are similar to those of the common house gecko, which is a near cousin. They're both nocturnal and insectivorous, and they have the same basic range. Try these links:

Someone on the Reptile Room gecko forum (http://www.reptilerooms.com/forumview-6.html) may have more specific information if you post the question there.

Thank you very much! So far, we have been giving him pinhead crickets from Petsmart, but we weren't sure if he needed more than that, or if crickets were a nono.
Since they are commonly found near buildings and such, I would be really surprised if I were the first one to catch and keep one!
