Is there a rating and recommendation site for books, similar to Netflix or Yahoo for movies?

Some folks like Book Slut (http://bookslut.com). I'm partial to the reviews at The Guardian (http://books.guardian.co.uk/).

Are you looking for a non-commercial site that lists titles, authors, genres, etc. with links to reviews and samples? Me too. That'd be great.

I thnik Amazon's rating system is the most comprehensive you could hope for. Millions of readers have written reviews on some of the most obscure books out there and if you follow the "other books purchased" links, you can get some pretty good recommendations.
