E Club. What is this golf club for?

Over the weekend, I was given a complete set of used golf clubs as compensation for moving a few tables. Here is the inventory:

Select Model 1D titanium shaft metal head with a good grip.
Pinnacle 3 & 5 woods "off set", metal head
Hogan Radial 3-9 irons and an E
Wilson Autograph PW
a wedge of some sort, the bottom is filed off.
Wilson Strata Bloc Uni Bond 3 & 4 W (wood heads)
Wilson 3 W (wood head)
Wilson Strata Bloc 5 W (wood head)
Bag
Cover
Head covers
a "shag bag"

What is an E club? It looks to be a wedge of some sort, but if I have a PW and a SW, what would I use an E for?

It's a pitching wedge. That designation "E" appears to be used only by Hogan.
