 Caligula (the Bob Guccione film) was porn. Hardcore.
I don't recall any very shocking sex scenes in Carrie or American Beauty.

"Center of the World," which featured a woman licking a lollipop, but with that other set of lips. I was just shocked that they'd show it in a non-porn scene, even though it was a brief shot and artistically overexposed, it was very easy to see what was happening.
And if you watch it on slo-mo, Jennifer Connolley's lesbian double dildo scene in "Requiem for a Dream" in slo-mo, it's fairly shocking. But that's about the only way you can see what's going on. I wasn't VERY shocked by it, since in regular mode it's really hard to see what's going on.

I've heard that the main-stream movie with one of the most explicit sex scenes are "James Joyce's women" (1985) (I've seen a couple of pictures from it)
it shows a very realistic and direct masturbation scene with Fionnula Flanagan (The Macahans and Youngblood)

Crash (the one about car wreck fetishists, not the one about racism) wasn't explicit, but it had some of the creepiest sex I've ever seen.

"Postman Always Rings Twice" with Jessica Lange. Holy shit, that kitchen scene was hot.
"Damage" with Jeremy Irons and Juliette Binoche. Erotic book, erotic movie.
"Henry and June" had no idea who Henry and June were when I rented it, but it was pretty wild.

Dangerous Beauty, (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118892/) while marketed and covered like soft-core, was actually a very well done costume drama....with some steamin' hot love scenes and Jacqueline Bisset doing unmentionable things to asparagus spears.
But Never Talk To Strangers (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113965/) got several boyfriends laid after we watched it. Hot, hot hot!!!

Monsters Ball (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0285742/), and The Last American Virgin (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084234/) had some pretty hot sex scenes in them for mainstream films.

Happiness.
C'mon, how do you get any worse a child wanting to be molested by his father???? And that just happened to be the dirtiest scence out of many.
To go back father, Tommy. Molested by his uncle, tortured by his cousin, god knows what done to him by to him by Tina Turner. Took me years to get over, I guess I shoud be glad Happiness didn't come out when I was 8.

Oh, and The Bad Lietentent.
On a happier side, The Hunger, which was pretty sexy even if it was about people who kill people and drink their blood. I went to see it for David Bowie, but my god does Susan Sarandon have (had?) great tits.

How about The Brown Bunny? That oral sex scene was as explicit as any porn.
Though I admit I haven't seen the rest of the movie, but Chloe Sevigny claims it wasn't a pornographic movie...

Romance X (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0194314/) - art movie, that features pornstar Rocco, and a money shot. Yet isn't porn.
Then there's Baise-moi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baise-moi) , which again skirts the line.
Those are the two that immediately came to mind.

A History of Violence (http://www.mirena.com/html/index.html) wasn't exactly shocking, but it was fairly...unexpected.
Y tu mamá también (http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0245574/) is, again, not shocking, but shows more than you'd think.
Desperado (http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0112851/) has rather more naked Hayek and Banderas than one might expect, but it's not shocking.
IMO Don't Look Now (http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0069995/) has the best sex scene of any movie. I know I'm not alone in thinking that.
If I hadn't heard terrible things about it, I'd go and see 9 Songs (http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0411705/), and that would probably count as explicit sex scenes, but not porn.

Oh, yeah.
I saw this last year while I was in India. Did you know that HBO in India has commercials interupting the movies? Bugged the hell out of me.

As I mentioned in our earklier thread about Surprise! sex scenes, the one in Dona Flor and her Two Husbands took me by surprise. Pretty graphic and "out there".
the scene that felt dirtiest was a fully clothed one from the 1960s -- the Eating Scene in Tom Jones. Watch it and you'll se what I mean.

The child in that film did not want to be molested in any way. Actually he is horrified of what his father has done to his friends. Don't forget the father doesn't want to touch his son either. The scene in which Dylan Baker admits to his son about his urges is one of the best scenes I've ever witnessed in film.

Speaking of "feel dirty" sex, I have always been partial to the sex scene in "Quadrophenia" where the pair of lovers are making it in an enclosed alleyway while the Mods and Rockers are violently bashing on each other and the buildings all around them in full riot mode...the scene contains no real nudity, but is visually and acoustically graphic when juxtaposed against cutaway shots to the violence going on in the streets all around them. It was erotic in the extreme to view the tender violence of passionate sex taking place in such secrecy (yet publicly!) while the more overt violence rages on around them.
Or maybe that's just me...

Well... no, I don't think the son wanted to be molested. Chiefly because he didn't really understand what that means. This being the main reason sex with children is always molestation. But he's so desperate for his father's attention he's upset he didn't get the "attention" his father gave to someone else.

Wow, no one voted for Unfaithful, (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0250797/) with Richard Gere? Not that I gave a fig about him, but the scenes with Diane Lane foolin' around with Olivier Martinez were smokin'...
