Does McAfee = Dell?

For those who use McAfee, when you go for updates, does their login page come up with Dell's name on it? I cannot tell if this IS true, or it could be my Dell PC which is loaded with these symbiotic relationships. It's like my reasonably priced Dell PC comes with all these ties to sponsers from which I often cannot escape their ads!

What's the SD? Does McAfee = Dell?

I doubt it, since the standard antivirus software on any new Dell computer is now Symantec.

My WAG is that they have a business relationship where McA sells there AV product to Dell at a deep discount, but the updates are hosted on Dell's servers instead of Mc A's.
