Mel Gibson gets his comeuppance in a wonderful satire in this week's New Yorker, titled Stations of the Mel.
It's short, and you can read it all at

The funniest thing I've heard about Mel is Denis Leary's scorching commentary at a Red Sox game about Gibson and Jewish 1st baseman Kevin Youkilis (sadly, pulled from YouTube). An absolute riot.

That was frigging hilarious.
OMG, I laughed my ass off. :D I'm sending this to everyone I know. My favorite part:
Mel Falls the Third Time. His public-relations crisis manager telleth him, “We are in the Land of Very Deep Doo-Doo, wherefromunto it ith difficult to extricate.” Mel sayeth, “If another centurion pulleth me over, I shall say unto him, ‘Shalom,’ and kiss his hiney.”

Oh, it was a column. And I thought it was going to be an illustrated laughing square.

An absolute riot. The best part was when Leary proposed that Mel's community service should be having Sandy Koufax throw fastballs at his head.

Joy.
The New Yorker is a delight, when they get their hackles up.

I'm so glad you all liked the article.
I found the funniest part to be that People magazine took Rob Schneider's ad in Variety as serious and quoted only the part that said "I, Rob Schneider, a 1/2 Jew, pledge from this day forth to never work with Mel Gibson", as Hollywood fallout from the scandal. Not only would Mel Gibson not feel too sad about that, the ad is a joke. (http://www.defamer.com/hollywood/top/rob-schneider-takes-on-mel-gibson-to-plug-new-movie-in-variety-191949.php)
