The Cowboys looked very inconsistent, especially against a Detroit team that was 2-13 before today. Romo is the very definition of the word "butterfingers."

Looks like we'll see you (and kick the crap out of you) next week, Giants fans!

The 'Boys couldn't beat the 2 and 13 Lions, in a game that they had to win, AT HOME, against a team that would have wrapped up the top draft pick if they lost...and they crapped the bed. My God, what heartless dogs! That was truly a gift to the Birds, who were able to play their JV and still beat the dysfunctional Falcons. Now we get to play the Giants, at the Linc, with rested starters. We will crush those bums, who had to battle to win a game against the 'Skins. The 5 - 10 (at the time) Redskins, playing what was for them a meaningless game.

Jeff Offord (http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/99-01012007-953032.html) of the Intelligencer says it best:Here's a tip, ready? Bet big on the Eagles Sunday against the Giants. And don't worry about the point spread or that loss to the G-Men earlier in the season. That was an aberration. The Giants stink.I can't wait.

You can't wait? How do you think the Giants faithful feel? Most of the time, we have to be content passively pointing and laughing as the Eagles fail year after year after year. This time around, it'll be our boys in blue who get to knock them out of the postseason. It's almost a shame that the Cowboys didn't manage to take the division title -- that would've set up the even more delicious prospect of the Giants bitch-slapping the Eagles out of the NFC Championship Game (we all know how great the EagLLLes fare in that game), but Wild Card Weekend will have to do.

Say all you like about the Giants -- they certainly make themselves easy to disparage. When you lead the league in injuries, bad things are bound to happen and it's really a miracle they survived to make it to the postseason. But now that they've made it there, going up against the Eagles as a huge underdog is the surest road to success. There's a reason thing like this (http://www.sirblah.com/misc/cec.jpg) exist -- the Eagles are simply one of the most spectaular bunch of near-miss failures there is.

Oh, and here's a hint -- when you want to get a good media opinion, try not to go with a registered mouthpiece. Getting Jeff Offord to pimp the Eagles is like getting Rush Limbaugh to say nice things about the Bush administration.

Now then, if I can step back from the smack talk for a sec, I'd like to open up my home to any of our area NYG/PHI fans who may want to get together for this one. We're in Mount Holly, NJ, a little less than a half hour from the Betsy Ross.

Kickoff is at 4:30 on Sunday, but if you need to see the earlier Jets/Pats game, we'll certainly have that one on as well. Contact info is in the profile -- love to have a chance to bring some of this lively, cordial debate into the real world.

The Giants storming into the post season winning 2 of their last 8 has me absolutely quaking with terror. Really. If only we could become that one team (among almost every other) that can find the key to defeating the Giants. How to do it? How to do it? Oh! I know. Show up.

Again a Giants fan talking smack to an Eagles fan, it is to laugh...why am I even entertaining this nonsense? Ah, well, it's the least I can do to provide some diversion to the lesser fans, since they'll soon find themselves with a lot of extra time on their hands.

So, then, which is better: a near-miss, or an absolutely-completely-pathetic-miss? :D

3 of the 6 NFC Playoff Teams from the East - so maybe "the best divsion in football" label wasn't so wildly off as it looked at times - huh?
