ILm in Europe now. They sell cuban cigars here at a cheap price. ILm not a big cigar afficionado, but ILd like to bring back a couple. How risky is this?

ILve considered two methods. One is to simply put them in a package that ILm going to be sending back home and put in through the mail. Alternately, I could take them with me on the plane flight home, either in a suitcase or in my jacket pocket. Clearing customs into Spain was a joke (not that I had any contraband), but ILm told it is much more thorough coming back.

I probably wonLt do this unless I think there isnLt much risk. I donLt even know what the penalty would be. Just confiscation, a fine or what? Thanks in advance.

The easiest way is to take the wrapper off so it's "naked" he he you said naked. they can ask you what they are though, but I've come through customs a few times and they have never asked to see squat. just remember though that Cigar magazine had an article last year (maybe two years) ago that said that if you get caught with cubans then they will search you everytime you come back through customs. I don't know if this is true or not though.

I would say the best way would be on your person, in a jacket pocket or something like that.

No, the easiest way is to obey the laws of the United States. This thread is closed.
