This was from Car Talk this week. I have no friggin' idea.

Tommy instructed the sign painter to paint "Click and Clack's Garage." When it was done, Tommy said, "I don't like it." He then uttered a sentence that used a word on the sign five times in a row. It explained what was wrong. What did he say?

Unless there's some stupid phrasing going on like the "gry" puzzle, I couldn't even begin to hazard a guess. It's pretty easy to exhaust the 4 word choices and try to think of forming a sentence around them, but it just doesn't click click click click click with me.

I think the sentence is "There's too much space between "Click" and "And" and "And"and "Clack's."

Credit for this idea should go to someone in GD--I noticed the discussion because of a comment made by Lefthand of Dorkness in a thread about grammer and the decay of the English language.

Now that I've ensured that I was the first person to respond to your thread,Why isn't "Ain't" a word? (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=392788) is the thread where I saw a variation on this puzzler, and Shroedinger's Dog deserves credit for mentioning the sentence in question.
