Downloading embedded media files

I have to do a 20 min report for a class in school. I was looking around and I found a really cool RealPlayer movie embedded in a web page that would be a great way to start off my presentation. The problem is I have found no way to say this movie onto my coumputer. I would like to be able to play it in a Power Point presentation.

Any suggestions would be of help.

I am going to assume that you know enough about the web to have tried right-clicking?

If so, I have been frustrated by the same problem a few times before. Thanks for asking - I am sorry I don't have the answer...

If it was not a streaming file (live), then try searching through your temp directory for files of that type. For windows, usually c:\windows\temp

Although I've heard of applications to try and grab the stream. :)

Otherwise, it's usually easiest to figure out what file is being pointed to in the page source.
Copy that into the address line.

Try doing a search on "Voquette Media Manager"

Install it and it allows you to save streaming audio to your hard drive.

It's free.

Otherwise, unless you have a program that allows you to do that, you can't save that sort of thing. Web-dudes set it up this way precisely for that reason--they don't want you stealing their stuff.
