Travel Questions: Top US Honeymoon Destination + Others

My google-fu fails me.

1)What is the number one US honeymoon destination?

Several searches using variations of the terms "top US honeymoon destination" and the like reveal articles that only state the author's picks, and not official data.

2) A related question: what is the number one US travel destination for adults traveling without children (excluding honeymooning couples)?

My guess for question #1 is Disneyworld, followed by Las Vegas.

For #2, I'm guessing Vegas then Disneyworld.

New Orleans is way up there for #2 or at least it was. Several million people come to Mardi Gras alone and it is a huge convention site as well.

Try "statistics top honeymoon destinations." I found a couple of sites that claim to know but nothing "official" and no real statistics. There is more information about weddings than honeymoons. Travelocity says Hawaii is #1. The few they mention after that are outside of the US.

I have to say that I know of no effort collect "official data" on where people go for honeymoons. At best there might be somebody out there doing statistical sampling but I couldn't find it.
