No, really.

On a bookshelf just above this computer there is a seven volume set of In Search Of Lost Time which stares down at me reproachfully because I haven't read any of it yet. I know the first volume (Swann's Way) effectively kicks off when someone dips a madeleine in their tea and commences to look backwards in time. But what then? What is so special about this oeuvre? Has anyone here read it?

Why should I read Proust?
