So, I was reading the account of Jim Henson's funeral today, especially the bit about the fact that some of the muppets themselves made an appearance. It got me in something of a maudlin mood, but it got me thinking as well. I came up with an odd question, and I'm wondering how various dopers would answer it. To wit:
If you could have any fictional character show up at your funeral to pay respects, who would you want to have come, and why?

(We work under the caveat that they are there only to pay respects: No one will come to resurrect you or to solve your murder or what-have-you.)

Optimus Prime.

I don't know why—he's the first guy who came to mind. But, on the plus side, what needs explaining? :D

(I'll come back later with more, I'm sure.)

I don't want a funeral. I want to be alone.

I'd never let my great-great-great granddaughter marry a fictional character.

If Death is going to kill me, he could at least have the decency to come to my funeral. He could deliver a moving eulogy titled "One of You is Next" and scare the crap out of the guests.

So Greta Garbo should stay away?

If you could have any fictional character show up at your funeral to pay respects, who would you want to have come, and why?Cecil Adams, because I have a high regard for Ed Zotti.
