While I have a great deal of sympathy for the hamster, I can't help noticing that something peculiar is happening to new posts.

Call this a test post - because it is ... or maybe it is not.

Now this might or might not be a test reply.

If it gets a 'duplicate post' respnse then technically it is a failed reply.

Hmm ... all working well

Please delete my tests and prognosis, but I suggest leaving them for an hour or so.

This is a great debate. I'll be [tosses coin] Pro posts working ;)

I notice the post counts aren't incrementing, and a thread I was contributing to seems to have vanished. Odd.

I notice the post counts aren't incrementing, and a thread I was contributing to seems to have vanished. Odd.How recently have you noticed the lack of post count increments?

We have had to disappear a couple of threads by spammers and socks in the last day or so.

The board did have a technical problem regarding a refusal to accept new posts, for which the board was dropped for maintenance, earlier today.

This thread is a board question, not a debate, and you will next find it sitting comfortably in the About This Message Board Forum.

About noon PST today, Tuesday 2/13, I was contributing to a GD thread having to do with marriage (sorry, can't recall the title) and noticed that my post count was holding steady. There were only a handful of folks actively contributing to the thread, but each of their post counts were the same on each post in the thread.

I hope that helps.

I found a number of BrainGlutton's starter posts had zero counts and no text in the initial post. When I tried a followup I got as 'system problem' screen (I should have snapped it).

I started the thread to alert the Sysops and test what was going on.
Not meant to be critical or sarcastic - just highlighting what looked like a glitch.

Glad to see it is fixed.

Now I notice that post counts aren't incrementing in this thread.Whoops, now I notice that all posts reflect the latest thread count for a poster. Perhaps that's the way it's always worked and I've been smoking dope. Carry on.
