I just came across this (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17284416/) article about a group of muggers who tried to hold up a tourist bus in Costa Rica.

Well, it didn't turn out to well for one of the muggers. A tourist, estimated to be in his 70's, broke the muggers clavicle. The tourist put the mugger in a head lock and broke his clavicle and which killed the mugger(?!?).

The tourist isn't being charged and got back on the boat.

The headline on that sez he broke the guy's neck. :dubious:

Clavicle is not a neck bone, thanks - I think the reporter needs to check his anatomy books.

In most news outfits, the headline writer is not the reporter who wrote the story. The story didn't say the broken clavicle (collarbone) killed the mugger. The headlock might have strangled him.

The guy deserves a medal.

But I believe if this happened here in the US, the guy would have been jailed, branded a racist, and the usual cast of characters would be on CNN everyday denouncing him and his vigilanteism.
