This looks like a lot of fun. You can go here (http://www.findagrave.com/pictures/2660.html) to find someone's grave!

BTW, it's my one year SDMB anniversary. Guess I'm contemplating death in my old age... ;)

Cool. I also like Dead People Server (http://www.dpsinfo.com/index.shtml)

Hey! I'm not dead! :)

I searched for people who I know are dead. (At least, I hope they're dead. Well, no... I don't hope they're dead in a sense that I wouldn't like them to be alive, but because that's what I was told. Nevermind.) Anyway, I couldn't find any matches. So I was going to become a member and add them but realized if I did that, I'd probably be tempted to add myself too. :D Oh well. Cool site, Demo.

Your spider thread was the first thread I ever saw, and where I made my first post (hence the name).

May you have many more anniversaries before your name is found on one of those links.

And, long live SDMB!

This is kind of a morbid site. However, I just found out where my grandpa on my mom's side is buried. I knew he died in 1965 (before I was born), but I had no idea where he was buried. Now I know what cemetary and even what plot he is in.

God! I searched on my last name, and the first Mr. Bake that came up had died at my age.
That's enough of that for me, thanks. :(

I'm sorry Demo, but now I'm wishing I had never clicked on that site. On a whim, I put in the name of my grandmother, who I haven't seen since 1982. Unless there is another woman with the same first, middle and last name in the San Mateo area (last name is extremely common, but first name is fairly uncommon), then I just found out that my grandmother died in 1995. The really sad part is that my father never called or wrote to tell me this. I realize we are estranged, but you would think he could at least tell me something as important as my grandmother dying.

Uggh, I'm sorry Shad. Perhaps, even if you had to find out this way, it is better in the end. Truth before all else? Hmm, doesn't seem to cofort, does it?

I looked up my last name and discovered that I am not dead (whew!), but apparently neither is my father. He was buried nine years ago. I would have him dug up, but I'm concerned that he might be a tad displeased. What should I do?

Anyway, Happy Anniversary.

Hm. Seems like no one in my state is dead. Is this a problem? :)

Anyway, Happy Anniversary.

Happy Anniversary, Demo!

And thanks for posting the link to Matlovich's grave. I had the privilege of meeting him in the '70s...he should not be forgotten.
