Actually, there are several, including "fast" (which can mean both "rapid" and "unmoving") and "moot" (which can mean "debateable" and "not subject to debate").

1. "literally," meaning actually, really, in fact
"He's literally jumping up and down with joy."
2."literally" meaning not actually, not really, more as a metaphor or hyperbole
"You can literally cut the tension with a knife."
The contradictory meanings make the word effectively useless.

I always thought people who said things like that didn't know what "literally" meant.

Gr8Kat is correct. Anyone who uses "literally" in a figurative should be taken out and shot. Literally.

I read the question diferently. What is the term for a word that is its own antonym?
BTW what is a good site for looking up words I don't know how to spell? (couldn't remember if it was antI or AntO) Incedently,Bee, is there much call for pulling the wool over bee's eyes?

cleave [1,]: to adhere firmly and closely or loyally and unwaveringly

cleave: [2,] to separate into distinct parts and especially into groups having divergent views

But, you already knew that.

Incidentally, "incedently" is spelled i-n-c-i-d-e-n-t-a-l-l-y.
