I thought it was a really good classic Prison Break epsiode.

Sara's head was in the box, just as some fans predicted. Linc can't tell Michael, cause he wants to save LJ.
I love Susan B killing the guy and then getting Sucre to take his place. Good plot twist!
Bringing Haywire back? WOW! I did not see that one coming. Alex is really showing his acting chops this season.
Bellick can't get a break. He always was a nasty and karma is a bitch when it comes with scalding hot coffee.
T-Bag always comes out ahead. You have to give him a hand!

I'm wearing black today in honor of the lovely Dr. Sara. *sniff* I want to punch Susan B. Anthony in the face. (There's a sentence I'm pretty sure I've never used before).
Nice to see Haywire, even briefly.
So... what exactly was the purpose of Michael's field trip into No Man's Land? I see he got a ditch dug, and filled the conduit box with dirt, but I don't understand how that contributes to his escape plan.
And does he need the felt pen or not? If he doesn't, why bring Mahone into it at all; and if he does, why leave it behind in his old cell?

I can't believe they killed her off. I know that there were issues between Sarah Wayne Callies and the producers, but to have an ending like this? The entire first season was spent building up the relationship between Dr. Tancredi and Michael. Everyone watching the show was invested in it...what a lousy payoff.
And to think I gave them kudos for drawing out the tension for so long, not going for a quickie like so many others. Boo!

The trip to NML was so that Michael could secure a particular cell.
He does not need the pen. He sent Mahone chasing after that wild goose to get Mahone out of his way, as he explained to Whistler while digging in NML.

Dominic Purcell (Linc) is such an exceedingly bad actor that his scenes are almost comical — throwbacks to hammy 1940s melodramas. Although I like the series overall, I'd like to see fewer scenes with Linc and Michael doing Dragnet in slow motion.
I do think Michael buried something else. I guess we'll see.

That was an awfully big box for a hand or finger.
It's possible they are writing Sara out of the script. I don't think so, based on the pre-season stuff I've read, but you never know. She's a new mother and might not be able to devote the time actors and actresses put in during filming.
You read it here (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=9035651&postcount=7) first. Of course, I couldn't commit, and later added guesses of C-Note and Sucre, but Sara was first guess.

I
Both Purcell and Wentworth Miller are into the "just say it deadpan and don't show any emtion" school of acting. There's a true family resemblance there.
ETA: The prisoners apparently have unlimited fence visitation. Anytime anyone needs to contact them or they need an outside contact, they are at the fence.

He does not need the pen. He sent Mahone chasing after that wild goose to get Mahone out of his way, as he explained to Whistler while digging in NML. Ahh, that's right. Still, it seems odd that he would have insisted on digging outside, when he could have "fixed" the electricity without the elaborate ditch-digging project, and without filling the conduit with dirt. I think he was up to something else that will be revealed later.
Also, I forgot to mention, apparently Bellick didn't like his coffee. Perhaps he prefers cream?

He was much more fun on his old series, John Doe. The flattened affect is actually what I would expect from his character, though, but another note or two would be good every so often.

Misdirection. He knew or strongly suspected that Bellick would sell him out. Now Padrone won't believe anything Bellick says about Michael's continuing plan.

I think michael could have switched some wires around so he might be able to turn off the fence from inside the prision. maybe the gaurds will not watch it as carefully now that they have the fence up.

It would not make a lot of sense for the prison to run its electric fence off of a generator whose master switch is located inside the prison. Of course this is the same show that put a Death Row inmate on an outdoor work crew, so "it makes no sense" isn't always the strongest card to play.
Michael did, however, say that it was in their best interest for the fence to be as deadly as possible.
Perhaps he wants current running through the fence to somehow heat it so the magic corpse de-stinkifying acid spray will work better. Did anyone happen to catch the name of the magic corpse de-stinkifying acid spray? Is it something remotely real?

I have to say I'm really bummed about Sara. It may have been expediency on the writers' part, but Michael certainly deserved better. I wonder if the formula will run "White Girlfriends = Dead, Latin Girlfriends = OK". In that case, Whistler's lady may be in good shape.
Otherwise, I'm still enjoying the show. It's a guilty pleasure (and unfortunately, it means I have to choose between Chuck & Aliens in America as my other DVR option), but still a lot of fun.

The Spanish accent of Whistler's lady's English is very inconsistent. Sometimes she speaks better than I do; sometimes she is barely understandable.

When do y'all think Linc and Susan B. will do it?

Yes, I think it makes sense now... the real reason he needed to go outside was not to get the cell (there would have been an easier way) but to fix the electric fence. I wonder how he knew where that junction box was? He doesn't have the plans for this prison tatooed on his torso.

I am fed up with the show.
I still hold out for the fact that, some how it was NOT sara in the box.
If Sara is gone, then what next? What keeps the show ""Prison Break"" ((Not the Action, but rather the great show that this show used to be))
After that, I am beyond pissed. (Can I say that?)
Last night's ep played out like a compilation of Season One's Greatest hits:
The "Can you dig it?" Scene, as made famous by C-Note. (Oh, and this Shows up in season 2 as well, in case you forgot)
The "Cell Test" test, as made famous by Sucre. (The entire hide something in a box, and cover it up)
The Entire 'Oscar Shales' sub plot (Okay Season 2 for this one) but with Haywire instead.
Cute Posion, as made famous by Scofield. (Now in the embalming fluid that Sucre has, apparently)
I'm sure someone else can continue the list.
Here are a few things that NEED to be fixed, immedaitely. IMHO:
1.McGrady. Fish or cut bait with this guy, I mean why do we still have him, and why is he still a sidekick? Shouldnt we get SOME backstory on the guy? At least a new plot point with him, and with out scofield? I mean, We knew Tweener's backstory!
2. Bellick. I hate the guy too, but he needs his 'balls' back. You can't make him to be the prick that he was and simply "forget" it now.
3.Mahone. In a similar line of reasoning to #2, Mahone needs to 'solve' something. Anything.
4.Origami and or Tattoos. I know that the Tattoos are probably history, for the rest of the show, but the vehicle that they gave is missing, and it's noticeable.
-- I was glad for Sara's message earlier (two eps back now) "I feel that it is midnight, and I am 3 O clock, we are running out of time". Something Cryptic please.... Anything. (The Bird book / Marsailes isnt cutting it )
---
This season has nothing NEW. I'm off to go post the same thing in the Heroes Thread as well.

He traced the wires coming off the generator.

So...
When do y'all think Linc and Susan B. will do it?I give it three more episodes. He just isn't showing her the hate that a killer like her usually warrants. And besides, he's an idiot.

She very recently gave birth. She probably does not look similar to how she did when Michael was thrown in Soma. The story didn't start "9 months later".

For some unsubstantiated reason, I do not believe it was Sara's head in the box. This is a misdirection move by Lincoln, and we will learn why later.

What do you mean? Didn't we actually see a brief shot of Sarah's head in the box, flashback-style? Or was it a flashback of her head in some other context?
I love me Dr. Sarah, but unless she's got a twin, I think she's gone, man.

I wonder how he knew where that junction box was? He doesn't have the plans for this prison tatooed on his torso.Am I the only one that remembers the earlier scene with Michael and Whistler looking out the window at the fence (with armed guards behind it) and some dialog about it not being powered? So it was clear to me that his main purpose was to get the fence powered again so that the anti-stink stuff could then eat through it. I also assume that getting the cell with the view of the anti-stinking area was a side benefit.
What I'm not sure about was whether he'd planned all along for Belick to invite himself along, planned to be seen by Belick suspiciously pushing dirt into the box, planned to have Belick take that info to Patrone, all to either get Belick off his back or win points with Patrone or both. Or maybe something else. That Michael is just one damned sneaky bastard.
Also, won't the guards notice when a large section of the fence just falls out or disappears? Or maybe it'll be that the stuff just weakens the metal without fully destroying it, so that the fence will look ok from a distance, but then Michael can just push through it.
On another note, I was very, very sorry to see Sarah killed. I believe that she's really gone, and I believe that it was done by the writers as an easy contrivance because the actress won't be back anytime soon. Still, they could be setting up for the second half of this season to be a major revenge vendetta by Michael. It actually might be cool to see; Michael's a master planner, if he gets out of Sona, learns what happened to Sarah, then takes some time to coolly plan a complex revenge plot, that could be fun to see play out.

So much for my theory...

I remember a scene where they're looking at the fence. Whistler asks Michael what they're going to do about the power and Michael says it's to their advantage to have the fence as deadly as possible. Presumably so that the fence will be hot and more susceptible to the corpse de-stinkifying acid spray.

Here's an interview (http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Prison-Break-Exclusive/800024014) with the PB producers. The writers decided the character needed to die for "motivation" and they tried to get the actress back for half the season but she didn't want to return. I liked the relationship and thought the ending was too abrupt but it looks like they didn't have much choice.

Well, in my opinion, she was a dick about it. "As hard as we all tried, the Prison Break powers that be and I were unable to find a way to meet both the needs of the story and the needs of my family." The hell? They offered to fly the crew to your damn house and film there. Jesus, what does it take?
