TiNo: word stolen from some TV writer's blog. It's the show that you mean/meant to watch and got a season pass on the DVR, but never get around to because there's always something better on or recorded, or you don't really want to watch it enough. Eventually you find yourself just deleting all 18 episodes because you don't care anymore.

For me, "Mad Men." I really liked the first couple of episodes. Everything since mid-August is just sitting there, because even though I think I would like the past 7 episodes, I just never seem to select them.

Don't like the word TiNo, but The Office. I missed part of last season and don't want to start on this one.

But you are going to watch eventually, aren't you? Don's wife Betty with a shotgun -- is that an incentive? ;)

I TiVo'd Burn Notice and didn't watch a single episode. They're deleted now.

I DVR'd a bunch of Discovery channel stuff and never got around to it. Next thing you know, DVR is full of Next Top Model, Tyra, and Oprah from the ex. Set on auto-delete, my shows were toast. Oh well.

I set up a season pass for the Bionic Woman. Watched the first episode, said, "Meh." Recorded the second one, didn't watch it for 5 days, said, "fudge it," and deleted it. Then I deleted the season pass.

I want to set a pass for "Pushing Daisies', but it's on at the same time as "Back To You" and my DVR only has one tuner. Maybe I should start setting my VCR for cases like this.

I still get Reaper and Saving Grace. Saw half of one Reaper and I know I won't ever want to see it again. Saw half of one Saving Grace and liked it, but somehow there's always something else recorded that I want to see more. I may just bail on it, like I did on Reaper.

I set up a season pass for Bionic Woman, and read a bunch of lukewarm-to-negative reviews before I watched the first episode. I'll probably never watch them now.

I also set up a season pass for Dirty Sexy Money (I like Peter Krause) but just didn't have time to watch, and still don't, so that will probably be deleted too.

The only two new shows I'm still recording with intentions to watch are Journeyman and Reaper, and I haven't watched either one yet this week which does not bode well for them either.

I currently have season passes set up for:

Big Shots
Cane
Private Practice
Journeyman
Chuck

and all I've seen are the pilots of Journeyman and Chuck. There's always something better on to watch...

It's not a season pass for various reasons, but I always record The Late Show and Late Night as well as Rome Is Burning. I rarely watch any of them (can't find the time) even though I like all three shows.

The second season of Heroes. I watched the first season but night before last deleted all the season 2 eps I'd recorded and will most likely remove the season pass.

I have about 36 Veronica Mars episodes Tivoed, but I've been watching them at the rate of about 1 episode every 2-3 months.

The most recent new show I can think of is, um, that one Eddie Izzard was in last year. Oh yeah, The Riches. I watched the first couple before I realized just how boring it was.
But, come to think about it, I should probably check on my Bionic Woman season pass.

Mad Men for me too. Loved the first episode but just haven't gotten around to watching any more.

Currently have all 7 eps of Ken Burns' The War which I'm afraid to start watching for fear I'll spend all day watching them all! As much as I love Adult Swim their two series Frisky Dingo and Saul of the Mole Men are so complicated and need to be watched in order that I finally said fudge it, deleted all of them and will rent the DVDs instead.

For those wondering about Bionic Woman, if you thought the first episode was 'meh' (and it was) then forget it. The second one was terrible. Went from being kinda goofy but with potential to just plain lame ass network tripe. Haven't cancel my SP yet, but not looking good. Hoping Fox's Sarah Connor Chronicles fairs better...

It was, wasn't it? What a schizo show. Bits and pieces were wonderful, but when the focus was on Izzard and Driver, together, the life was sucked right out of it. Lots of scenery chewing going on there, I think.

One of today's thread reminded me: South Park. Despite the fact that I've found it consistently enjoyable, it's always been one of those "I'll catch it when I catch it" shows.

Season 6 Smallville. Every time I went to watch it, I got flashbacks from the asstacular season 4 and the mediocre season 5 and I just couldn't make myself do it. Finally just deleted it and moved on to series that aren't written by halfwits. Fuckers.

I've stopped a lot of shows. ... Cavemen ...I think you should play "chicken" with the network and see if you can keep the season pass longer than ABC keeps "Cavemen" on the air. I give that hot mess maybe two more episodes.
