Things that come to mind for me are Facebook and Myspace. I will never be interested. They seem less interesting than blogs which I am only slightly interested in.
And would anyone like to comment on ending a sentence with a preposition?

Team sports. I just don't get the appeal. Televised, fantasy leagues, commentators, and analysts....ugh.

I too, have no use for Facebook or Myspace. I too, have troubles with terminal prepositions. ;)
I no longer have any use for Hockey, I use to enjoy it. I have no use for Nascar, I never have.
The large variety of reality TV shows, from Idol to any of the others leave me cold. I just don't have an interest.

TV sitcoms. The last time I enjoyed them was in the third grade watching Happy Days reruns.
Team sports. My city's team might win the World Series for the second time tonight, and I Just. Don't. Care.
Political commentaries from anyone other than George Will or Michael Kinsley. Those two are the only ones I've heard who don't sound like whiny self-righteous high school nerds or total nutjobs.
I like children in general, but I have no interest in having my own.

And would anyone like to comment on ending a sentence with a preposition?A person cannot be interested in everything. Sometimes it just seems sensible to recognise that self-evidently fun and interesting stuff has to be given a body-swerve. You need boundaries to what you do and do not do.
A good example for me would be skiing, or any winter sports. A man like me really should know how to ski - I love sports, the more adrenaline the better. I also love the outdoors, do a lot of hill walking and some simple winter mountaineering routes when it gets cold - I'm used to doing stuff in the snow. You just have to acknowledge that you can't be interested in everything, particularly when you're busy enough with all the stuff you are into - I am certain that skiing is a fantastically rewarding pastime, it's just that I've never done it and feel happy to leave it at that.

MySpace and Facebook, though I fear I'm going to have to get a MySpace sooner or later.
Harry Potter. I'm so happy the damned series is over, though I know I got to live through the last of the movies. Most people leave me alone about it, but there will always be some die-hard fans of the books that will not understand that I don't read Young Adult books about Wizards because I don't like YA books about wizards. Yeah, yeah, it's about more than that---whatever. I didn't like YA books when I was a young adult.

-Watching sports on TV. I like to play sports, but watching them is really boring.
-Baby Einstein, which some acquaintances insist is a must-have for my almost 18-month old (I'd rather he explore in person instead of watching TV)
-Candle parties and anything made by Pampered Chef (STOP inviting me, dammit!)
-Britney Spears' custody situation
-Extremely graphic horror films like Saw, Hostel, the Trippers or whatever - I think scary movies without any gore are far more compelling, scary and interesting than movies that just try to freak me out on the ick factor. Other than recalling how we used to watch them in high school to prove we weren't grossed out, I don't get at all why they're popular.

Those sites (Livejournal is another one) bug me because you have all these vague acquaintances, almost none of which you've met face-to-face, who are designated as your "friends". Yeah I'm sure if something like a hurricane or fire comes along and trashes your house they will all be there the next morning, perky and smiling and all too ready to lend you moral and monetary support.

Casual sex. I know we've had tons of threads (and more than a few arguments) on this issue, but sharing myself, my body, and the latter's fluids with an almost complete stranger wigs me out, and I can't for the life of me grasp the appeal.

Does what people normally call 'having a life' count?
Chores, work, bars, sports, outdoor activities, TV, news, people, movies, music, art, books, volunteering. There are, of course, a few exceptions to some of those. There are certain TV shows, movies, and music I don't mind watching/listening to. I've also read quite a few books, more to kill time than anything else.

Guns. I don't have anything against guns. I just don't get the fascination some people have with them.
Religion. I don't think anyone really believes in any of that garbage. I have a suspicion that it's all an elaborate hoax and I'm the mark. OK guys you got me good. Joke's up. I'm on to you. Can we move on now?
Romantic Comedies. Bleh, just bleh.
Cribbage. People have attempted to teach me this game on several occasions. I hate it.
General Motors automobiles. I don't like any vehicle produced by GM in the last 20 years. I can't really place a finger on why exactly that is. The Geo Metro is the only example of a vehicle that GM distributed that I have any respect for, but that was actually a Suzuki. And the new Chevrolet HHR is OK too, I suppose, but that's basically GM's very late answer to the Chrysler PT Cruiser.
I roll my own cigarettes, and I have no idea why everyone doesn't do the same. Halfzware shag is the only choice for me. Yes, I know I shouldn't smoke at all. Lemme be.

I hate all new car design. I shake my head in dismay whenever I see a brand new aerodynamic crossover, which is all the time. What is wrong with people? Why do they buy these? I will never understand. I want my car to look serious, like it can take off-road experiences and look good covered with mud in the country. That works on my 1993 Mitsubishi Montero but the Ford Edge? Are you kidding me? The Chevy HHR? The Dodge Nitro? AAAAAAHHHHHHHH! This makes me mad, really mad. Sure, my Montero has problems because it is 14 years old but it handles so well off and on the road, I have to admit it is a tad top heavy. People are amazed when I give them a ride or show them how spacious the interior is or about the headroom. I am 6'6'' and can't fit in most cars comfortably but there is so much damn headroom in my vehicle like the Land Rovers. In conclusion, yeah I know you're not supposed to say "in conclusion", but yeah I hate new cars. Or should I say I am not interested in them.

Movies - I've only seen 3 movies in the theater in the last 6 years, and I had no real desire to go to any of them.
TV - I could definately live without a TV. I don't think I'm going to be buying a new one once the one I have now finally dies.
Myspace - I've never had the slightest desire to set one of these up. I've had people look at me like I'm from another planet when they ask for my myspace and find out I don't have one.
Music - It's not that I never listen to music, I just don't constantly have it on to drown out the rest of the world like some people do. I find it distracting when I'm trying to do something else.
Kids - I never, ever want to have kids. I don't want to be around yours, either.
Going out to bars or clubs - Just not my idea of a good time.
Religion - Definately not for me.

Most Internet "community" things these days. I don't have time for it (except visiting here) and I don't miss it.
Fashion.
I'll take an interest in what kids say to me (I like talking to my friends' kids, because they have a heck of a lot more imagination than most adults), but I'm not interested in having some for myself.
And I'm not interested in either the opposite sex or the same sex (some may say "Ha! That's just because you're alone and bound to stay that way!" But I'm not in a deep dark depression about it. I find being in charge of myself challenging and a lot more fun.)

Yeah me too. I like nice food and I like nice wine. But that's about all I remember about it, it tasted nice. My wife can remember what we ate at a particular restaurant at a particular time.
Her: "Remember when we went up the Sydney tower and I had the pesto garlic chicken and you had the Spotted liver?"
Me: "umm, I remember being in Sydney"
I must say that one dish I do remember having was patagonian toothfish. Mainly because it is a fairly rare thing to see on a menu and it had recently been in the news.
It is interesting the comments about Myspace and Facebook. I had no interest in that kind of thing until my mother sent me an invite to Facebook. I signed up and have since found a heap of people from school who I hadn't seen for 15 years. All of my Facebook "friends" are real friends or family, and it seems like a neat way to keep in touch. I'm sure the novalty will wear off.
Arts and crafts would be something I don't do and have no particular interest in.
Maybe it would be more interesting to find out what we are interested in but for whatever reason have never got around to doing.

-social networking sites; I have plenty of real life social interactions, and "social interactions" over the internet strikes me as something of an oxymoron.
-fantasy world-type novels; they've always bugged me. "Always" as in, the 4 or 5 times between the ages of 15 and 25 that I actually tried reading them.
-most professional sports; I'll occasionally watch a game but only if nothing else is on and only so I can carry on a minor level of knowledgeable conversation with coworkers about it.
-game consoles (PS3, Wii, whatever) and video games; this goes into the "get a life" category.

For all those myspace / facebook haters that thinks we put everybody on our list whether we know them or not:
I have no interest putting people I don't know on myspace or facebook. I put people that invite me that I socialize with in my classes or other events, but 6+ months after I last spoke to you? Gone. Old friends I keep, somebody I talked to a couple times during the course of a semester, nope.
I also have no interest in putting every single picture I ever take online.
Speaking of pictures, I have no interest in taking hundreds of random pictures consisting of girl kissing girl, girl kissing different girl, girl kissing first girl again but in a different pose, full glass of froofy drink, empty glass that originally contained froofy drink, picture of three girls in 'sexy' poses holding said empty glasses, and endless combinations thereof.

Let's start a club. I've never had a driver's license either. I live in the city, so no need.
Can I join? I have a driver's license, but:
I didn't get it until I was 23.
I dislike driving. I do it, but frankly I'd rather be cleaning the toilet.
I try to do as little driving as possible (being able to walk to shopping was a major factor when Mr. Neville and I bought a house this year- a suburb like the one where I lived when I was in high school, where you couldn't walk anywhere but to other houses, was out of the question).
When I do drive to shopping, I always try to park once, then walk between places I'm going, rather than drive between them.
Maybe Mr. Neville could join, too- he has a driver's license, but drives maybe once a year.
I'm not really interested in cars, either, except in terms of getting good gas mileage and being easy to park. I will probably never own anything other than a small car with an automatic transmission. On the occasions when I need something bigger (generally, moving), I rent a minivan.
Not interested in gambling, either. When I flew through the Las Vegas airport several years ago, I put a quarter in a slot machine- after one, I was bored and ready to do something else.
Lying on a beach. Unless I've got a good book to read, I can do it for about ten minutes, tops, before I get bored.
Competitive sports, or other activities where I'm competing against someone. Playing a game without keeping score is at least as much fun for me (usually more) than it is when someone is keeping score and there's a question of winning or losing.
Gossip. Unless it's affecting me, I don't care what other people are doing or who they're sleeping with. If they've read an interesting book or learned something cool (ideally having to do with something I'm interested in) lately, I'm happy to discuss it with them, but I'm not interested in the usual topics of gossip. That goes at least double for celebrity gossip.
Brand name/designer clothes, and status symbols in general. I don't buy them for myself, and am not at all likely to notice if someone else is wearing them or has them.
Scrapbooking or any other type of craft project. Before my wedding, I put my foot down- there were absolutely going to be no wedding favors that would require me to do any kind of crafting. In addition to not being interested in crafts, I'm generally not any good at working with my hands (unless the work in question is typing).
My only interest in housework is in ways to either make it easier or get out of doing it. My house has hardwood flooring on the stairs, and I want to put carpet down, because carpeting doesn't show cat hair like hardwood floors do, and stairs are hard to clean.
(In the interest of the safety of the universe, I make sure I never meet up with Martha Stewart- if we shook hands, we'd probably annihilate one another)

Sports, especially football- who really gives a flying fat fuck? Well, apparently lots of people do (I'm just not one of them); otherwise we wouldn't have stadiums that seat over 50,000 people and the Superbowl wouldn't be the big event that it is.
Count me amongst the people who don't use Myspace. Facebook or any social-network website. And why would I be interested in someone's blog.
Text messaging. Communicating this way would seem so awkward and cumbersome, esp when ppl type lk ths. Why not just, you know, talk?
Politics. It doesn't matter to me if you're a Republican, a Democrat or if you claim to have some other partisan affiliation. I may agree with some of your views and I might not, but I'm not going to get passionate enough about them to help you defend them or refute them, and if I do it won't be on the basis of your preferred political party.
American Idol, Survivor (I don't even know if this is still on) or any other program branded as "reality TV."
Anything the media latches onto like flies to a pile of shit and won't let go of. Jonbenet Ramsy, OJ, Michael Jackson, the Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan debacle, Paris Hilton, Janet Jackson's inadvertent breast exposure... I could go on. Enough already!
Glurgy emails. Please, people, for the love of God, why are youeven sending me this useless crap? Do you really think I am going to take time to even read it? It borders on being spam (I didn't ask for it and it contains absolutely no useful or interesting information to me whatsoever).
Religious debates. No matter how many points you can argue, no matter how many cites you can produce to back your claims or refute the other side's claims, nobody is going to be convinced enough to change his ways of thinking to mesh with yours. You're just wasting your time. Nobody has all the right answers, and a lot of people don't have any right answers.
Soap operas- I have enough problems of my own to deal with, thank you. The last thing I need is to immerse myself in someone else's fictional world.
Most fads, whether it be a collector's item, dance craze, fashion. Macarena? Never learned it. Tamagachi? Beanie Babies? Furbies? Meh, you can have 'em!
Being the first to own a copy of the latest movie release, latest game system, etc. Being first to be admitted into the theater to see the latest ultra-mega blockbuster of the century after camping out for three days to see a two-hour movie ... so what?
After-Thanksgiving sales and the crowds they attract. Nothing to me is worth being the first one in the door at 5:00 AM. While your ass as getting trampled by throngs of drooling rabid bargain hunters I'll be sleeping in as the tryptophan (sp?) of yesterday's turkey wears off.

"Litmus Test" Issues - things like abortion, the death penalty, etc. I know the issues, know my opinions, and still can't muster enough emotion to get all worked up about them. I had classes where the professor would toss an issue like that out and let the feeding frenzy begin, where they actually had problems getting students to shut up long enough to leave the room at the end of class. Seeing the kind of emotional response almost everyone else had to them really made me feel a bit odd.

This will sound like blasphemy to many Brits.but I just cant get partisan about professional league soccer.
My local club has a Russian owning it and is managed by two blokes from another city.
The star players come from another continent and none of the rest have any connection with the local clubs area.
The club actually trains in the city limits of the club that is supposed to be their arch enemies.
I think that of the team only two live within their clubs city and none of the senior club faces ,managers etc.live within the clubs city or even its environs.
All of the players and management would move to another club if offered more money or a better position at the drop of a hat(and in the past have done so)
Every W/E our mercenaries go out and play the mercenaries of other clubs(because they're all the same in outlook) yet our supporters are elated if "We" win and in the depths of despair if "We" lose.
I'm sorry but I just cant get excited about it.

What Der Trihs said. Also, non-furry pets. I'm strictly mammalian with my companions.
In addition to non-furry pets, I don't appreciate the appeal of hamsters and the like. They have to live in a cage and you can't really give them free run of the house, or else they'll leave pellets all over the house and chew your electrical cords.
Or the cat will get them.

I meant to add this one yesterday- beauty pageants. Yes, I am male and yes I am heterosexual. What I don't like about beauty pageants is that the women they're intended for do not appeal to me. I like big, chubby women, women with some substance, and unfortunately Miss America, Miss Universe, etc. seem to discriminate against woman who are more rotund.
Also add most award shows. So what if such-and-such film earned "Best Director" or "Best Supporting Actor?" All that matters is whether or not I liked the movie.

I dunno, model trains maybe?
There's very few things I'm not interested in, at least mildly...
As for Facebook and Myspace, I used to think there was no point to them. After using Facebook for a while and having friends that use it as well, it's grown on me. It's a good tool to know what your friends are up to or to help organize get-togethers. For example, it reminds me when it's someone's birthday, which I'd never remember otherwise. And hell, the "iLike" application alone is worth setting up a profile. An app that reads what artists I listed in my music section and then provides notifications when they are touring near me? Sweet!

I don't care for any technology.
Will never use an X-box or an iPod.
I completely skipped VCR's and now DVD's. My TV runs off the air, not a cable.
I never used a portable phone, pager, or CB radio, walkie talkie, or cell phone.

There are plenty of things I don't like or don't get--which is how a lot of people are answering this thread--but as far as what I simply don't care about:
What other people wear.
Reality TV. I haven't even managed to develop enough curiosity to watch an episode.
MySpace, etc. It's not that I don't like them; I haven't even looked. If the people on them don't care enough to make a real Web site, then why would I care enough to go and look at it?
Most professional sports. If a friend is involved or it's helping to pay my bills (my wife does some contract work for ESPN), then I care. Otherwise, meh.
The vast majority of awards and awards ceremonies. I can't even keep up with the industry I work in (books), much less the 4.76 billion other awards issued every year.
Your sexual preference. If you insist on telling me about it, I'll probably get annoyed (this includes heterosexuals, BTW), but if you keep it to yourself (and stay away from little kids), I really couldn't care less whether you prefer men, women, vegetables, or bicycles.

Aha! But you're trapped, you have to have posted this with a computer! :D
