The most used phrase in Melbourne is 'jump on a computer'. For example when I go into a netcafe the service person will say 99% of the time 'Jump on computer number ....".

I've never noticed it before but yeah everyone know use that term aswell.
Like just before someone in my house asked me "Mind if I jump on hte computer for a sec? Need to look up a phone number."
BTW I'm also form Melbourne.

I hear mainly "use the computer" or "get on the computer". If jumping's involved, it tends to be to do with the Internet use, not just a computer.

"Use" or "get on" here also. If I'm specifying to someone that they need to relinquish control of the console to me, it's "Let me drive."
