Two questions about suicide and food

My friend made two preposterous claims which i would like verified or dispelled.

First, he claimed that *dentists* have the highest suicide rate of any profession, higher than even psychiatrists.

Second, he claimed that Jewish people eat more Chinese food than any other ethnic group. (Both he and I are nominally Jews, FYI.)

Can either of these statements possibly be true, and if so, WHY?

These are just odd enough that maybe the great Cecil himself will take notice...

I've got no numbers, but china is a great big country and Ireal is itty-bitty by companison, so I'd WAG that more Chinese eat Chinese food than any other group.
