Animators like to draw hot moms. Sometime's they aren't drawn to be attractive, but they are anyway. What are some of your favorite animated MILFs?

I'm going to ask that we concentrate on Western animation, or else we'll get sidetracked by people saying "I know she looks like she's 6, but actually she's a 5000 year old scientist who's the mother of a genetically engineered assassin" and that just makes me queasy.

1. Lois Griffin from Family Guy - yeah, she's got a big nose, and an annoying voice, but there's just something about Lois that does it for me. Last night's episode was especially hot.

2. Rosa Santos from Maya & Miguel - this lovely Latina brightens my mornings of watching PBS Kids with the little ones (as does Miss Lori, but she's not animated). Honorable mention goes to Abuelita, who's not bad herself and probably falls into GILF territory.

3. Betty Rubble from The Flintstones - some people prefer Wilma, but they're crazy. Betty is pure sex in cartoon cavewoman form.

4. Marge Simpson from The Simpsons - I personally don't see it, but I know a lot of people do, and since the show's so popular she deserves to be on the list.

5. Francine Smith from American Dad - I hesitated putting her on the list, but I'm not sure why. She's definitely hot for a cartoon character, but something about her puts me off.

She's a special case, she did not start out as a mother, but as a stereotypical hot flapper chick.

A cartoon show on PBS that Michaela and I watched for a couple of years, called George Shrinks, had a very fetching depiction of George's mom.

I don't think Ethel was a mother. The actress playing her was a very attractive lady, though.

Can we get this back on track? I'm seeing a lot of non-mothers being posted. Some of them may have become mothers eventually, but in most cases I don't feel like they count (i.e. I wouldn't call Mary Jane from Spiderman a MILF even though she did eventually have a child).

Mrs. Incredible / Elastigirl

Indeed.

It's also worth noting that Marge Simpson is one of the few animated women to appear on the cover of Maxim (her husband, Homer, also appeared on a cover, but he's not a mom, so he doesn't count).

I'm going to ask that we concentrate on Western animation, or else we'll get sidetracked by people saying "I know she looks like she's 6, but actually she's a 5000 year old scientist who's the mother of a genetically engineered assassin" and that just makes me queasy.

Aw yeah, I can't believe I forgot the Possible family!Oh yeah! I'll third Doctor Possible. Definitely in CMILF territory. She's voiced by Jean Smart (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005443/) - even hotter! And now that I know she has a first name - hotter still!!

Mama Zappa, who watches the Kim Possible even less than I do, was confused when I mentioned my crush on Dr. Possible. I had to explain that the Dad is Professor Possible (Ph.D.) and the Mom is Doctor Possible (M.D.). No, hun, my lust for cartoon people is strictly hetero.

I had to explain that the Dad is Professor Possible (Ph.D.) and the Mom is Doctor Possible (M.D.).

Aren't they both referred to as Doctor in the show, though? I've only ever heard the distinction made via Ron's Mr Dr Possible/Mrs Dr Possible. (And is Mr Dr P actually a professor? I don't remember any reference to him teaching.)

Mrs Dr P is definitely a cutie, though.

Mom Turner (Fairly Odd Parents) always struck me as attractive (in a slightly strange way, I grant).

(Y'know, technically, Ariel from The Little Mermaid counts as a mother. But I think that's cheating.)

Well, I was always fond of Pat Harris' (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0663506/) depiction of Christopher Robin's motheróbut then again, I'm always a sucker for a pretty voice. That, and we never saw her face, or much of her behavior, so she might have been an alcoholic bipolar with a face like Dr. Phibes (http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/38851-3/PhibeCloseup.jpg), for all I know.

And there was...ahem...

Hey, anime moms aren't always gothic lolitas!

Case in point: Bulma from DBZ. Even if she didn't have the best taste in hairstyles (http://www.linkmesh.com/imagenes/temas/dragonballz/b_bulma_pensativa.jpg), she was still very attractive, genius level smart (the lady invented a fricking TIME MACHINE, for crying out loud), and doesn't back down even when confronted with creatures that could kill her several times over. (And she snagged VEGITA of all people.)

Hey, anime moms aren't always gothic lolitas!

[random j-fashion hijack]

Gothic Lolita refers to a specific style (or family of styles), and doesn't much apply here.

Washuu, the character in question, looks like a kid, but doesn't have a Goth Loli look. She doesn't particularly sport any kind of a Lolita fashion. She gives herself a child-like body, and insists on being addressed as a child, but the clothes she wears are neither Gothic nor Lolita. She is a (pseudo-)loli in appearance, but not dress.

All Goth Loli characters I can think of in anime/manga/video games are either actual kids, robots, or fit the typical real-world Goth Loli mold - teenagers/young adults who wear the look without particularly trying to pass as a kid. (Well, one exception, but that was a really fucked up one-shot.)
