I recall the general essence of a quote that I would like to know in full if anyone out there is a fan and can help.

The first commander of the station was asked a question to the effect: "Why must man go into space?" He replied to this effect (this is the quote I'm looking for):

"Scientists tell us in ?? million years the Earth's sun will burn out. No more earth, no more (poet), no more (philospher), no more Buddy Holly and Marilyn Monroe."

Can someone help me find the exact quote?

Thanks,

Sir

I think checking Babylon 5 sites would find it. Some of them have very thorough recaps of episodes. If you know when (which season) the quote was made, you should be able to find it. I love Babylon 5 and I recall hearing that quote, but I can't tell you who said it (sorry, there were so many great lines I have trouble keeping them all straight). Good luck.

I am pretty sure that no more Mozart was part of that.
