I recently took the required board exams necessary to practice as a pharmacist in Ohio. I've been waiting on the results of one for 2 weeks now and the other for 1 week now. And I'm very happy to say that I passed. I'm a pharmacist!

Wow that feels good to say. :D

I'm presently employed with Kroger and already have the store I'm going to lined up. One of the pharmacists is retiring and I'm taking his place. :)

How hard was it to pass the test where you shove the bottles into the printer to print out the dosage? Was it harder than the Advanced Doctor Rx Chicken Scratch class?

No, I will come back, because I know 25 minutes will turn into 50 minutes when old man Goldstein shows up and ties up your time. I'll be over here, wandering the store, but I will avoid the condoms and feminine hygiene products. Damn...I walked past them by accident. Is my prescription ready?

I kid, I kid because I wanted to become a pharmacist a while ago. I know the job pays well and requires lots of specialized knowledge but I bet you can make sweet coin on the side on the side in the Oxycontin trade. It will cut down on the robberies too if you just retail it. That may be frowned upon in some areas though.

In all seriousness, I have been prescribe Oxycontin for a major surgery and it didn't seem to do much yet people kill for it. I probably still have someone somewhere. I don't understand the appeal.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. :)

For the person curious above, we no longer feed the bottles into the printer. The molten plastic smell was nauseating the patients. Who knew?

Congrats! Do you know where you'll be working yet? I'm in the market for a new pharmacy since the one I use now pisses me off.
