Are Guests ever going to be upgraded to members?

Just wondering whether us free-loaders are going to be upgraded so we can have info like post counts/location in our posts.

Don't get me wrong, i love that i can post for free, but I'm sure some of us would like to have a reputable post count, and maybe display our location and such. Maybe we could turn 'regular' members into "super-members' or "paying-members", and the rest of us lowly guests could be upgraded to regular members.

ETA: It's also be nice to subscribe to posts and stuff like that.

Theory 1: If you're visiting the house but not paying the rent, you're a guest. (Okay, that was a super-lousy comparison, unless we change 'member' to 'tenant'. I'll try again.)

Theory 2: (Bear in mind I know nothing about how these things work) Perhaps it helps with generating funding reports for tax purposes: report on 'members' would tell you how much $$ they've generated; same for a report searching on 'charter'.

Totally WAGuesses both times. Happy for someone intelligent and informed (I'm only here to maintain the balance) to come by and correct me.
