- - - What animals besides humans exhibit pattern baldness? I have seen old cats that have light hair on their heads, mostly on their temples where they tend to rub stuff, but I dunno if that's the same thing. - MC

Tarantulas. But just because they flick their legs against the abdomen to eject hairs when they are threatened.

I've seen cats with thinning hair too.
