As a very long time Legion fan, I am so looking forward to this episode. Clark meets Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy, the three founding members of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

DAMN YOU FOR TELLING ME ABOUT THIS!
Now I have to watch it, and Mrs. Rhymer will mock me. Or ask her to program the Tivo for me, in which case she'll mock me twice. :)
Maybe I'll be lucky and whoever's playing Imra will be hot enough to justify the mockery.

Thanks for the heads up. Is Supernatural on tonight too?
Clark promised Martian Manhunter he'd find a way to get his powers back. Wonder if he will?
Where did the show leave off anyway?

Since I adore the LSH, I'm awfully tempted to use this as my lame excuse to not go swim laps tonite while it is 0°F out... On the other hand, it is Smallville, and thus will be a crushing disappointment no matter how low my expectations are...

There was an article about it in this week's TV Guide. In one of those odd coincidences of life, the actor playing Rokk Krinn (Cosmic Boy) is Ryan Kennedy. Get it? Same initials.

Yeah, but who's playing Imra Ardeen? What damsel could be fair enough?
ETA: I decided to avail myself of Google like a big boy. "Alexz Johnson." Lord, I hate that name.

When last we saw, Smallville, Chloe's wedding to Jimmy Olsen had been rudely interrupted by the arrival of Doomsday. We also saw something hinting that Lex is alive (which was a reasonable assumption anyway).

Ah, okay. I remember now. So, when we left off, Clark got his ass handed to him, but there was kryptonite involved, so not a totally fair fight.
Doomsday has the hots for Chloe even in his strong dumb form, but it's unclear why he's apparently doing Brainiac's bidding.
Chloe is reinfected with Brainiac I guess.
I totally could tell that wasn't Michael Rosenbaum's bald head, but obviously it was supposed to be Lex.

So you know nothing about football and don't know how to program Tivo. I am starting to see through your barbarian warrior facade. :D

In my defense, Kim may have hidden the manual from me in a power move.
Besides--well, read the sig!

I personally wanted Ultra Boy to show up, but hey, Legion. I'm easy. Wonder if they'll openly use their powers or keep it in the Super-closet like Clark. For a guy who wants to help people, he has a pretty dim view of them, doesn't he?

He's always been obsessed with not getting others hurt by revealing himself. Plus, you really can't blame him for not wanting to run around with his underwear on the outside.

I actually liked this. I'm surprised; it's been a loooooooong time since I liked a Smallville episode. Although Garth needed a chin, and damn Lana was back being praised as fabulous for no discernable reason. But the LSH shout-outs were great ("you're acting like a Sub").

I really was annoyed at Clark's bullheadedness in refusing to consider killing Chloe.. It didn't feel heroic, it felt childish. This is the Big Boy world, hard action is sometimes needed. I understand why he couldn't, but still.
That said, I loved this episode. Full of fun and good acting. The guy who played Cos was especially strong, I thought. Nope, nothing wrong here. And during the "techno-exorcism" I found myself thinking "The power of Geoff compels you!"

I'm keeping my eye on Ryan Kennedy. I was very impressed with his Rokk.
Garth's "farm boy" acting got very old very quickly, but he is a Winath farm boy. You think he and Clark would have had some interesting conversations on the subject.
Persuader kicked ass!

Evil Overlord ≠ Barbarian Warrior. 'Sides, a barbarian warrior wouldn't know how to program his Tivo either. And given that Pushing Daisies is toast, why should I bother?

Last nights episode is now my favorite one. It was full of all kinds of kick-ass. I loved Garth even though he played it a bit hokey but I loved his fan-boyism for Clark.
I am intigued about what Imra was talking about when she was telling Lana that she would be remembered for much more than just being associated with Clark.
I only got into the Legion with the animated cartoon that ran a year or two ago so I have no idea about what transpired in the comics.
Does anyone know of any explanation of what Imra would be talking about with regards to Lana or was that bit just made up for the Smallville episode?

Well... way, way back in LSH lore, Lana was an "honorary" Legionnaire (as was Jimmy Olson), as "Insect Queen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insect_Queen_(DC_Comics))". It was... somewhat silly.
However, had they been alluding to that in Smallville, they would have at least lampshaded it, or something. So I'm pretty sure it was just them shilling the Wesley (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ShillingTheWesley).

Awesome, awesome episode!
1. It smacked Clark on his ass, letting him know that there's other stuff going on, AND that he needs to realize he can't hide forever. He's had his destiny confirmed - now he needs to get out there and start on it. AND learn to fly, dammit!
2. It restored Chloe's memory. I really, really detested the mind-wipe. It was too much of a betrayal of what she'd gone through to learn that, and a bitchslap to the character of Chloe.
3. It made Lana get off her "hiding" track, and go more public with Isis.
Its now my favorite episode.

Thanks for the reply. Personally I'm leaning towards "shilling the Wesley" myself even though I would like for them to actually make something out of Lana but they probably will not.

I'm very annoyed. I'd been looking forward to this episode, but when I got home last night, I found that due to Comcast's mislabeling, my DVR had recorded reruns of Burn Notice instead.
Any idea how I can find this episode online?

Very fun episode. Now Clark can go meet the Legionnaires.
What's up with Doomsday? He was supposed to incubate for 12 days but that process got cut short, right?

After hearing Mercy wax poetic about Lana's "presence" last night, here's another vote for "shilling the Wesley".

So that when ABC deigns to air the last three eps you can record them and have them forever to cuddle and hold?

Kim likes Pushing Daisies and will record it for me. Likewise Mad Men, Scrubs and Total Drama Island. I hate everything else and watch only in passing to mock.
ETA: How do you cuddle a DVD?

I don't know, but I'd experiment in order to cuddle what we have left of Daisies... *sigh*

I think I could get Mrs. Rhymer on board to cuddling with Chenoweth, but the latter is too Christian too reciprocate. :) Olive might, though.

I heard Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money are all in limbo as to when their final episodes will be aired. Never watched DSM; don't care. Sucks about the other two though.
