Does anyone else feel these 2 ads for TheLadders (http://thatsmymo.wordpress.com/2009/01/23/those-god-awful-ads-for-theladders/) and CareerBuilder (http://thatsmymo.wordpress.com/2009/01/27/et-tu-careerbuilder/) just completely miss the mark in today's economy? Or do you feel they employ humor (pun intended) appropriately?

OMG, is "and you sit next to this guy" in the CareerBuilder ad the same actor who plays Bork in The Guild?

The Ladders ad was cute. The Careerbuilder one was annoying.
Just because the economy sucks doesn't make me hate my job any less.

See a real headhunter's take on The Ladders here. (http://corcodilos.com/blog/19/theladders-going-down) Ever wonder why a site supposedly offering $100K jobs (a small percentage of the total in most places) would advertise on mass TV? Because they charge you to register, and because they have no way of proving the jobs listed are for > $100K or the job seekers are qualified. Except that supposedly these people would be willing to pay. So, really, the idea is that people who qualify for such jobs are stupid, suckers, or both.
