Does anyone here remember the Red Egg shop in Chicago?

It's in one of Dan Clowes' comics, I believe in the Eightball collection. He says one of the things he likes about Chicago is Red Egg Inc. a shop that only sells red eggs.
It seems from reading here (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/110340) that it closed down some time ago.

This Red Egg place was on Irving, a few blocks east of Troy, on the south side of the street. It was a non-descript storefront and apparently the only thing they sold was red eggs. I had always assumed that they were dyed eggs, and it always puzzled me. Why a store dedicated to just red eggs?

They weren't in business long - they were probably out of business by 1991 or so.

I have regretted not stopping in to the shop. Now I'll never know!!
