Is anyone else still getting data base errors?

I had one timeout this AM where a post I submitted had to be done twice.

It's really off and on ... DB errors were blocking me out of this site for the past 10 minutes. But just now -- I got right in.

Last couple of days I've gotten a lot of hanging pages, "page not found" errors, and the like. Mainly when I'm trying to load a forum (not a thread).

What pisses me off is, I often get "Database Error" when I search -- and then the system still counts it as a search and I have to wait 5 minutes to try again. :mad::mad::mad:

while attempting a search in GD. Sounds like you folks are running short on RAM or something.

I get that, but usually it's only certain words that trigger it.

We're still having problems/error messages with the search function and probably will continue to do so until we are able to migrate to another search engine. This is on the list but we don't know when that will happen. Jerry will get to it as he can.

Review whether to rebuild the internal vBulletin search engine index so that the 1.3 million restored posts will be keyword searchable. This may be skipped if it seems server intensive. Installation of a new third party search engine will eventually resolve this issue.
