I know this is probably a weird topic for a TSD forum, but...
I'm the MIS guy where I work, and our territory will be significantly expanding in the fall. As a result, my boss is going to be looking to get a couple of assistants for me to lighten the workload.
Now...the thing is, I have very little experience managing people, and my boss is well aware of this. I asked if the company would be willing to pay for some kind of management workshop or something, and she said that was a great idea...
So...anybody know of any upcoming or regularly-occurring workshops for someone in this kind of a situation? Ideally, close to mass transit, as we're a one-vehicle family and my wife takes the car to work (mainly because CTA doesn't have reliable mass transit between home and her job)...
