I'm still listening to the Blümchen songs I bought, and I'm seriously thinking about buying actual physical copies of her four albums of the Discogs store, although that comes out to at least $70 with international shipping to four different people and paying in Euros. The song Tu es mon Île (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P46tvtDuriM) is probably her best slow(er) song, and it's pretty cool because it's actually a duet with her singing her song Du bist die Insel in German and Yta Farrow singing similar lyrics in French. Er Liebt Mich (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fx1JveTkHk) is pretty funny also because it seriously has only three lines repeated over and over in varying sequence:
He loves me.
He loves me not.
All I know is I love you.
Does that violate the rule against posting entire song lyrics? ;)

I've also been listening to the 2003 Eurovison of Ne Ver, Ne Boisia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J69Y51uaxmE) by t.A.T.u., although they're probably the best example of a group I kinda like but can't stand as people.

Most of the other stuff I've been listing to I already posted in the other thread, though. My musical tastes are not very varied. :)

My most recent song download was Band of Horses - Is There a Ghost. One night I listened to it about 50 times in a row. It's quite catchy.

Just started checking out Frightened Rabbit, pretty good. Good Arms vs. Bad Arms is a pretty good song.

Still can't get over Bon Iver just picked up the EP Blood Bank. Can't wait to see what this guy comes up with next.

I've also been revisiting 16 Horsepower's Folklore. Man, what an amazing album.

I just discovered Kelley Stoltz (http://kelleystoltz.com/). I hate to make the comparison, but his lyrics and styling feel very Beatles to me. Try the song Memory Collector (http://kelleystoltz.com/music/Kelley_Stoltz_Memory_Collector.mp3). That song is off his album, Below the Branches, which is one of the most solid and enjoyable albums I have ever heard.

In a different direction, I've been enjoying the gypsy rock sound of Gogol Bordello (http://www.gogolbordello.com/). They really have no comparison, so I'll just direct you to about a dozen of their songs here (http://gogolbordello.com/frequencies/listen/). To me, the joy is watching the lead singer and his energy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTFufbcx8DI).

Finially, for some background music I've been spinning Detektivbyran (www.detektivbyran.net). They remind me of the brilliant Edward Scissorhands score by Danny Elfman. They are Scandinavian, but there are no lyrics. Close your eyes and let yourself be transported while you listen to Omdumotervarg (http://www.detektivbyran.net/Omdumotervarg.mp3).
