6 Billion And no Party?

I was just at the US Census site.
It said the world population is
about 6,009,000,000 which means it
must have recently turned 6
Billion. Why no big deal like when
it turned 5 Billion.

BTW the US pop was est 273,000,000

There was no party because everyone was too busy arguing whether the party should be for 6,000,000,000 or for 6,000,000,001.
