It started out with one little google-blurb at the bottom of the page . . . and now there's one above the masthead and another between the OP and the second post and a bunch more at the bottom . . . Next thing you know we'll be living in the Minority Report world! :mad:

Dude, those have been there for a long time.

All that shit was what prompted me to download ABP.

:confused: It says "Guest" under my username. I just now noticed that. I've been a member for years! What's up with that?! I didn't get any e-mail telling me to renew.

I don't think they send the emails anymore. The ads really aren't that bad.

I got one. But I think a lot of them end up getting blocked by peoples' spam filters.

There's ads on the Dope? Adblock Plus and Noscript on my Mozilla Firefox seem to think differently. :D

That the Dope's parent company, like so many others in these parlous times, is struggling to stay alive and offer you this site?

You don't have to be a subscriber to be here. But there's limits to hospitality and this is bordering on outright rudeness.
