Did the Queen have Jack's lover killed, or did he really commit suicide?

My wife and I asked the same question. I suspect he actually did commit suicide. The video sort of had a suicide-note flavor to it.

I thought this was a very strong episode. All sorts of intrigue, all wrapped up very well, and the King/David sublot was done extremely well. It's a real shame that this show was canceled. It should have been made for HBO, where it would have been given more of a chance and could have survived with a smaller audience. You have to think that if a major network had attempted to air something like Deadwood (minus the profanity) or even the Sopranos, they would have suffered the same fate.

I don't think the plot could be kept going for more than a season. West Wing did, but there are those fans who will argue about that. :)

I presume David is going to replace the King, and the show would lose it's main star and greatest character.

Yes, I believe it was pretty clear that the queen had more than a little bit to do with that.
Sorry this show is ending. Anyone know how many more episodes? Was this the last one?

According to IMDB, there are 4 more episodes-not linking, as the title(s) of the final 2 are most spoilery. The DVD is being released in September (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024FAD88?ie=UTF8&tag=landofmidnigh-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0024FAD88)

When David found the Charter, did anyone else notice this crate? (http://assets3.artslant.com/work/image/6306/92c82u/pirro10.jpg)
