Something is wrong with the IMHO forum (and maybe others, haven't checked). New posts are not being shown in the forum display and you cannot quote new posts. Within some threads there seems to be a lag in the addition of replies.

Just FYI. Not sure if anyone has noticed yet.

Everything appears to be lagging -- I find it hard to believe there's been an hour with no posts in most of our forum areas.

Might need some attention. Let me go find out.

When I try to quote any recent post (like within the last half hour or so), all I get is a blank field. It still seems to work with older posts. Is it just me? Did I accidentally change a setting or something?

As of some time this afternoon, every time I try to quote a post (whether using the quote button or the multiquote toggle), I end up being sent to a reply page that doesn't actually include any of the text I want to quote, so I have to manually copy and paste it.

Anybody else have this happening?

I'm posting from work, so I'm browsing on IE7 on a laptop running Windows XP Professional.

Seems to be fixed with the reboot or whatever that downtime was.

Oddly enough the board was behaving in exactly the same fashion (trying to Quote and getting the blank Reply box instead) almost a month ago. It resolved itself then quite quickly but now the glitch is clearly back.

The issue today was that you couldn't quote "new" posts. At some point new posts were being saved but not displayed on the forum page but were displayed on the thread page. When you tried to quote a post that was posted after that glitch started you couldn't quote it but you could quote those from before the glitch.

I'm assuming the issue was that the table that contained the post number (an index maybe) was locked up but the table that contained the post text was not. The "quote" function probably relies on the index table as well as the body text table.

The board is "hanging" a lot for me right now. Main forum directory loads fine, but then clicking on an individual forum link seems to cause an interminable delay.

Yeah, seems there's a ton of instability still. Wonder if they are rebuilding some indexes.

Doing it for me also, Firefox, Solaris. But one refresh seems to work, and at least posts get through, even if not the new forum page.

Yeah, search has been bugging out on me for a few hours now, too. [Edit: But now is working]

I think search issues were questioned recently. Is it possible this is a sign that something's being worked on?

Now issues seem better. For awhile there to get into a particular forum, I had to click on the most recent thread represented in the forum title. Now it seems to be smooth sailing. For now.
