Can I put a glass pot directly on top of a glass topped stove?

I've recently moved into a place that has a glass topped stove and I've never had one, so I don't know anything about them.

Depends on the type. If it has induction burners, only a metal pot will work -- a glass one won't heat up at all.

A basic glass-top stove = yes. Induction burner grills are rare and it would be marked as such.

Just use it as you normally would an electric top, just don't put a hot lid down on it. Google "cooking on glass top". Coupla tips on care should be found.
