This weekend I was invited to a birthday party.
Last time I saw Pascal he told me that he bought a old farmhouse on a 2k acre lot.
That was 2 years ago.
I called him from time to time to check up on him and on some days he was so frustrated. He would tell me that this house ruined his life and so on.
On Saturday I saw it for the first time and I could not believe it.
It is so awesome. It has great energy.
I saw my dreamhouse.
I will post some pics when I am allowed to, to motivate everybody who thinks
he made a mistake by buying an old house!

That's awesome! Thanks for the inspiring story.
I used to buy old properties and renovate them, and sign a rental agreement on each when they were done to make money each month. There were a LOT of of hiccups along the way, from unexpected $6,000 expenses to bad tenants to contractors flaking out to housing inspection problems, but when it was all said and done I'm the owner of 13 rental properties, with a solid rental agreement signed on each of them.
Anyway thanks again for the story, we all need a little boost every once in a while to get us through that slog!

Great story! I am originally from Maryland and there are a lot of old historic homes in the area... some of them look a little run down, but I have a few friends that restore these old homes and turn them into castles! I am a fan of preservation and love hearing stories like this one!
