Ok,

Back at the end of 1983 I made my first visit to NYC on a theatre tour. I saw many plays. I have finally tracked down one that I had remembered but couldn't recall the names and such.

The play is Old Times by Harold Pinter.

Who starred in this production. I recall it having some famous names. I want to say Marsha Mason or maybe James Mason. But I don't recall.

It isn't even listed on the IMBD. And the production isn't listed on the Old Times wiki page.

I'm sure this is the play. The plot and themes are right.

Anybody?

Bricker?

Is this the cast (http://www.haroldpinter.org/plays/frn_oldtimes_us84.shtml)you were thinking of?

The Internet Broadway Database (http://www.ibdb.com/show.php?id=6719) page for "Old Times" only has one production, in 1971/2. Was it an off-Broadway production you saw?

Old Times (http://www.lortel.org/LLA_archive/index.cfm?search_by=show&title=Old%20Times) was indeed playing off-Broadway during that time frame. Cast was Jane Alexander, Anthony Hopkins, and Marsha Mason.

Whoa. I wish I'd been old enough to have gone to NYC to see that now. That's a hell of a cast!

Bingo!

That's who I saw. I didn't think we saw an Off Broadway shows but I guess we did. Seems strange that you would have a big cast in a small house.

Thanks everyone.

Indeed, that must have been pretty amazing.
